After dinner in Dunedin, it all went a bit Pete Tong
After dinner at the irish bar in the Octagon, I have been mostly sat on this floor projectile issuance from multiple locations was the order of the day – roughly for 4 hours.
We’re really not sure what happened. Initially I thought food poisoning, but this doesn’t really make any sense. We had a seafood sharing platter, ate off the same plate and Joan was fine.
During the process other than the obvious discomfort of what was going on, I felt fine. I felt fine before and after as well. My body was simply ejecting everything. “Oh no good sir, we’ll be having none of that”. Next morning, up, breakfast and off – all good.
After a bit of research, it looks like around 60% of cases of shellfish allergy are acquired later in life, even if you have been eating shellfish all your life. I suspect this is what I have. Naturally there is an easy way to test this theory…….not right now though. For now it’s manly steaks for me!
