KL is clearly going through a serious transition. It is a city on a mission. Construction of Skyscrapers is going on everywhere.
Apart from the Petronas Towers which is a very impressive structure. The amount of building in progress is amazing. It’s currently a mix of old and new but there are literally dozens and dozens of partially completed skyscrapers under construction, along with infrastructure such as new MRT (underground) lines. These skyscrapers look like they comprise anything from corporate headquarters, to residential buildings to 5* hotels.
However it’s more than that. For every skyscraper under construction, you can see blocks waiting to start, and you can already see those neighbourhoods which are under the shadow of gentrification. Be interesting to see this place 5 years from now.
