From Queenstown it’s a long road back to Christchurch, we went via Mount Cook and a stop off in Twizel.

We had lunch in the Lake Bar – very nice. Lovely vibe to the town.

They are stunning lodges and once inside the roof space all had exposed beams. In the winter this is a ski resort so I think they are modelling on Scandavian type properties!!
