A monstrously early flight from KL to Hanoi caused us to get a transfer to KL airport at 3AM. A few early beers and forgotten alarm set, this led to some 2:45AM panic.

Port Douglas

Lovely vibe in Port Douglas, it’s got that great mix of tourists and locals, and a few really good bars. It’s pretty much 33 degrees all the time so it’s hot. Tropical conditions throughout.

Byron Cove Beach House

This has to be one of the most chilled out places we have stayed. Close enough to the busy town of Byron Bay that we can walk in for a beer, and far enough away we can relax in silence.

Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour

After our 2 days in Port Macquarie we headed up the coast towards Coffs Harbour.  On the way we stopped in a couple of small towns. South West Rocks and Nambucca Heads.

Flynns Beach – Port Macquarie

We stayed in Port Macquarie for 2 nights in a self contained apartment called Flynns on Surf.  This was not too far from, believe it or not, Flynn’s beach!  Yet another beautiful beach.

The Road Back to Christchurch 1 – small town N.Z.
